The end of the season is already upon us here in 2010–but what a great season it is to look back upon. We had the pleasure to enjoy many new attractions in the Woods:
- Ignis Fatuus
- Return of the Clown (at Sportland Pier) – though not a very good one! ![]()
- Dragon’s Lair Miniature Golf
- Mirror Maze / The Vault
- Return of the Dollar Store (Not $5 and below!)
- The Euro Bubble / Human Hampster – briefly
- Duva’s Pizza
- Joe’s Fish Co.
- Popcorn Pete’s
…and so on and so forth!
The beach was absolutely fantastic with awesome weather all along (much better than 2009, that’s for sure). The new dunes in North Wildwood didn’t prove to be too inconvenient and were ten times better looking once the greens were planted. The beach in North Wildwood was definitely a little bit longer than recent years.
One thing I really missed this year is Ed’s Funcade 3 at Sportland Pier. They had my favorite video game (Virtua Tennis) and many crane games to feed my addiction. Life goes on I suppose! I’m looking forward to the new haunted attraction, “House of Haunts“ that will be opening at this location however. They started working on it late in the season and I suspect we will see it first thing 2011.
Does anyone know the deal with Castle Casino North & South? They had signs saying their arcade games are for sale. … ?
Anyway, I’m curious to hear how your summer at Wildwood was this year! What did you like? Dislike? Have a favorite new attraction?
