The new mirror maze on the former Hunt’s / Dinosaur Beach Pier / “Now Owned by Morey’s” Pier just opened up this June. I was eager to try out this new attraction, so shelling out the 10 bucks was an easy decision.
Prepare to be completely thrown out of alignment when you walk through the entrance curtain. The boxy maze has walls made of crystal clean mirrors making it nearly impossible to determine what’s a wall and what’s a mirror. You’ll find yourself with your hands out in front of you trying to determine what’s a mirror wall and what’s an actual route you can walk. I guarantee you your reflection will scare yourself at least once and that you’ll end up accidentally walking into someone else. The whole experience is impossible to describe.
For me, this was well worth the time and money spent. Finding my way out of the maze and to the exit was a little easier than I was hoping, but I turned around and got lost in the maze again for fun. The gentleman who designed this is supposedly world renowned for building mirror mazes and I give him full credit. One other interesting thing is that you wear plastic gloves in the maze to keep the mirrors from getting smudged.
Cheers!
