Wow. When I first heard the rumor that Morey’s was considering a coaster that would span two piers, I was completely enthralled. Jack Morey has certainly made this a reality with the revelation of this drawing at a recent conference. Insanity!

This wooden megacoaster, slated for an opening somewhere between 2011 and 2013, will be the fourth major coaster in the Woods and the first to be built since 1996 (The Great White)! It’s high time for this big shakeup and a second wooden coaster will certainly be welcomed with open arms by coaster enthusiasts—although I suspect even the casual spectator will appreciate this coaster for it’s creativity and design.

It’s great to see the former Hunt’s / Dinosaur Beach Pier getting put to good use. With the exception of the Golden Nugget (out of operation for several years and recently sold to Knoebel’s Theme Park) and the Skyscraper ride, there hasn’t been a whole lot going on here. Speaking of which, I don’t see the Skyscraper ride pictured here so perhaps its days are numbered? Also missing are the Skycoaster and the famous ride that started it all: the giant slide. Hmm…

That looks like an insanly awesome idea. And thats awesome that it wood be a wooden coaster! We need more of them. And hopefully they will just move the skyscraper. I would be upset to see that ride go. I still haven't tried it yet.
